Announcing Palo Alto Network’s intent to acquire Dig Security

The modern enterprise continues to grapple with data sprawl across multi-cloud environments, but there are no tools to stop data from exfiltration through cloud-based attacks. The proliferation of generative AI tools has only intensified its fragmentation across hundreds of cloud services and distributed databases. Organizations need cloud-native, easy to onboard agentless solutions to discover and classify all the data, govern access to sensitive data, and detect and respond to attacks in real-time. 

The Dig Data Security Platform is the only data security posture management (DSPM) solution with data detection and response (DDR) that stops threats like ransomware and data exfiltration in real-time. 

Dig continues to innovate further and faster than any other company in the industry. Dig recently became the first DSPM solution to support OCR for image classification, and the first DSPM solution to provide data security for generative AI deployments. In addition, Dig recently announced our ability to protect data in SaaS apps (e.g., Microsoft365) and on-premises (e.g., file share) in addition to existing support for major CSPs and Snowflake.
